Dune: Part 2

The Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center (The JPT) is bringing the much-awaited sequel to the 2021 sci-fi epic Dune to The JPT for a two-week run beginning its national release date, March 1.

Dune: Part 2 is the first film in recent history to open at The JPT on its national release date.

“We’re very excited to bring in Dune: Part 2 to the JPT at its national release date not only because it’s already being hailed as a genre masterpiece, but all indication is that director Denis Villeneuve has made a cinematic spectacle that’s awesome for all. We don’t often get a number-one film on opening night unless we believe in both its quality of craft and its audience appeal- Dune: Part 2 definitely fits that bill,” said Alex Whitney, General Manager at The JPT. “Dune: Part 2 to look and sound great on the JPT screen (with a new projector bulb) and surround sound. A blockbuster futuristic epic screened in a historic cinema- that’s why we love the movies!”

Dune: Part 2 (March 1 – March 14): Paul Atreides unites with Chani and the Fremen beginning a spiritual and martial journey to become the prophesied savior, Muad’dib, while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the universe, he must prevent a terrible future only he can foresee: a Holy War in his name, spreading throughout the known universe.
