People’s Credit Union recently presented a check for $2,000 to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. 

The donation is aimed at supporting the essential work of the Center in nourishing, educating, and supporting people across Newport County. Sean Daly, Head of People’s Credit Union, and Courtney Hunter, Head of Community Development, handed over the check to Heather Hole Strout, Executive Director of MLK, Jr. Center, to help fund their many important programs, including hunger assistance.

In a statement, Mr. Daly said, “The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center plays a vital role in promoting health, fighting hunger, supporting families, and engaging seniors in our communities. Their vision of empowering people to live their best quality of life aligns perfectly with our commitment to being a catalyst for positive change in the community.”
