Clean Ocean Access (COA) hosted a beach cleanup on Saturday, September 28th at Pheasant Drive Beach in Portsmouth. A small team of residents came out to collect 75 pounds of debris from the shoreline. The team found a discarded grill, a dive fin, fishing rod, a boat fender, and other debris such as food wrappers, plastics, and glass bottles.

This is the 21st cleanup Clean Ocean Access has hosted at Pheasant Drive Beach since 2014.

“We would like to thank Peoples Credit Union for sponsoring our cleanups, making it possible for volunteers to give back to their community,” Clean Ocean Access stated in an announcement.

COA is hosting a beach cleanup on Saturday, October 5th at Second Beach in Middletown. No registration needed! Empire Tea and Coffee will provide free coffee so don’t forget your reusable mug!
