The Tiverton Public Library will host a free art appreciation talk titled “Early American Art, Revolutionary Images” on Saturday, June 13, at 2 p.m.
The presentation will be given by Jill Sanford of Art for Your Mind and will look at famous people, places and events of the Revolutionary War through the eyes of artists who experienced it, from the Boston Massacre to the surrender at Yorktown, according to the library. The program is open to the public and will be held at the library at 34 Roosevelt Ave. in Tiverton.
Art for Your Mind is described in the announcement as an educational art observation program designed for participants of all backgrounds, both artists and non-artists.
The program is supported by a grant funded in association with “The American Revolution,” a film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt.
More information is available through the Tiverton Public Library.
