Newport’s 2026 cruise ship season is underway, with dozens of vessels scheduled to call on the city between April and November, according to the latest schedule from Discover Newport and the Office of the Newport Harbor Master.

The season was set to open Sunday with the Valiant Lady, but the ship canceled its Newport port call due to weather, according to a spokesperson at Discover Newport. The next scheduled visit is the Zuiderdam on Thursday, April 23.

The summer brings a marquee visit on July 5, when the Queen Mary 2 arrives in the harbor.

The pace picks up significantly in the fall. September alone brings nine vessel visits, starting with the Seven Seas Splendor on Sept. 5 and including multiple stops by the Norwegian Escape and the AIDAdiva, along with the Silver Shadow, Arcadia, Regal Princess, Seabourn Ovation and Crystal Symphony.

October is the busiest month of the season, with more than 20 scheduled port calls featuring vessels including the Majestic Princess, Viking Mars, Azamara Journey, Norwegian Breakaway, Orient Express and others. The season winds down in November with visits from the Majestic Princess, Silver Shadow and Victory I.

Larger ships anchor in the harbor and ferry passengers ashore to Perrotti Park, while smaller vessels dock at the South Alofsin Pier at Fort Adams State Park. A schedule for the South Alofsin Pier has not yet been released.

The full schedule is subject to change; see the schedule and updates at DiscoverNewport.org.
