Hope G. Rubin, age 94, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island where she was a lifelong resident.
Hope was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Rubin for 64 years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She lived a long and meaningful life defined by her deep love for family and her warm and caring spirit.
She is survived by her three children: Cindy Rubin and her husband Gerson Kuhr; Gary Rubin and his wife Brigid Lynch Rubin; and Gayle Rubin Kaplan and her husband Ted Kaplan. Hope was a proud and loving grandmother to her five cherished grandchildren: Kyla Kaplan, Adam Kaplan, Nathan Kaplan, Connor Rubin and Ryan Rubin, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Hope worked for many years as a teacher’s aide, dedicating herself to helping children with learning disabilities, a role she found deeply rewarding. Hope will always be remembered for her kindness to all; her grace and the enduring love she shared with those around her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 27th at 12:00 noon at Beth Olam Cemetery, 181 Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI. Reception to follow.
