The Newport Mansions’ new music video series “Sessions” continues this month with a live performance from Newport-based roots-folk duo Laden Valley, recorded at The Elms mansion.
The video is available now on the Newport Mansions YouTube channel at youtube.com/@newport.mansions.
Laden Valley — Evan St. Martin and Dave Sarazen — draw on the sonic palette of the 1970s, building their sound around tight vocal harmonies and songwriting that explores themes of time, modern excess and redemption. The duo has appeared at the Newport Folk Festival and sold out the Jane Pickens Theater last year. Their upcoming EP, recorded in Fort Worth, Texas with producer Robert Ellis, includes lead single “Desert Rain” and “There Was A Light” featuring The Ballroom Thieves.
The “Sessions” series launched in January with The Ballroom Thieves performing live at Marble House, followed last month by The Wood Brothers at The Breakers Stable & Carriage House. Additional sessions will be announced throughout 2026.
