Folk legend Judy Collins will bring her farewell tour to the Jane Pickens Theater on Sunday, June 14, with showtime set for 7 p.m., Spectacle Live announced Monday.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 20, at 10 a.m. at janepickens.com or by calling 1-800-657-8774.
The Newport show is part of Collins’ “Sweet Judy Blue Eyes” farewell tour, which launches July 4 and runs through 2027 across North America and beyond, giving audiences a final chance to experience the singer-songwriter live.
Collins, who has recorded 55 albums over a career spanning more than six decades, is celebrated for her interpretations of folk standards as well as her own original compositions. Her rendition of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now,” from her landmark 1967 album “Wildflowers,” has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Her version of Stephen Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns” won song of the year at the 1975 Grammy Awards.
In recent years, Collins has experienced something of an artistic renaissance, releasing six new albums since 2015, including “Spellbound” — her first album of entirely self-penned songs, which was nominated for best folk album at the 2023 Grammy Awards. She also published a poetry collection in 2025, “Sometimes It’s Heaven: Poems of Love, Loss and Redemption.”
The Jane Pickens Theater is located at Washington Square in the heart of historic Newport. The building was originally constructed in 1834 as a church and has been showing films since the silent era of the 1920s.
