La Salle captured first place at a four-team gymnastics meet Saturday at the Newport YMCA, scoring 132.8 to edge host Portsmouth’s 129.3.
Barrington finished third with 122.2, followed by Toll Gate/Pilgrim with 113.2.
Portsmouth honored seniors Kiley Wordell, Lucy Amand and Leah Hutchinson before the meet. Teammates, coaches and visiting team members recognized the trio during the senior day ceremony.
Wordell delivered a strong performance in her final home meet, finishing second in the all-around with a score of 33.9. She also placed second on vault with an 8.55 and second on beam with a 9.0, qualifying for states on vault, bars and beam.
Teammate Lexi Owen finished third in the all-around with a 33.65, qualifying for states on bars and beam.
Toll Gate/Pilgrim’s Mackenzie Long won the all-around with a meet-high 34.35. She also took first on vault with an 8.6 and second on floor with an 8.75.
La Salle’s Aubrey Soares won beam with a 9.05, while teammate Dylan Brightman scored a 33.5 in the all-around. Barrington’s Quinn Folan led all competitors on bars with an 8.55.
Toll Gate/Pilgrim’s Alyssa Jones won floor with an 8.85.
