The Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center has announced two spring concerts: a record release party for Newport-based folk trio Princess June on March 5 and a 4/20 celebration headlined by Philadelphia seven-piece SNACKTIME on April 18.
Princess June
Princess June — singer-songwriters Myah Strauser, Griffin Keeffe and Telli Quinn — will perform their debut full-length album, “Beyond the Fence,” in its entirety at the March 5 show. The album was recorded with producer Steve Rizzo at Stable Sound Studio in Portsmouth.
The trio is known for what fans have described as “cosmic lullabies for the soul,” drawing on folk traditions alongside nature and spirituality to create layered, harmony-driven music. Mystic-based singer-songwriter Brad Bensko will open the evening.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with Bensko taking the stage at 8 p.m. followed by Princess June after a brief intermission.
Tickets available at janepickens.com.
SNACKTIME
SNACKTIME returns to Newport following a well-received set at the 2025 Newport Folk Festival, bringing their brass-driven blend of funk, soul, punk, hip-hop, R&B and jazz to the JPT stage for a 4/20 celebration presented by Newport Cannabis Co. and Aquidneck Island-based edible company Rhodies.
Each ticket purchase includes a pack of edibles from Rhodies. New England musician Zane Christopher and Newport’s own Birdstick will open the show.
The band has built a devoted following since performing free shows in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square in 2020, going on to sell out headlining clubs and play major festivals including Newport Folk, Boston Calling and Firefly Music Festival. They most recently wrapped an opening run with Electric Guest.
Early bird tickets are $45 and will increase to $50 in March. Tickets are available at tbaagency.com. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music starting at 8 p.m.
