A historic Victorian residence on Kay Street has sold for $5.15 million, setting a new record for the Kay-Catherine neighborhood, according to Hogan Associates Christie’s International Real Estate.
The sale of Old Acre at 27 Kay Street represents the highest ever recorded sale for the neighborhood based on statewide MLS data, the brokerage announced Tuesday.
Chris Davis of Hogan Associates Christie’s International Real Estate represented the seller in the transaction. Kim Fleming of Gustave White Sotheby’s represented the buyer.
“It’s been remarkable to watch this property transform over the past several years,” Davis said. “The next residents will get to enjoy a beautifully evolved home and its unbeatable setting, just steps from the best of Newport.”
The early Victorian residence was transformed in 2021 to preserve its historic character while updating it for modern living. The home spans nearly 5,000 square feet and features five bedrooms, blending classic architectural details with updated systems and finishes.
