Helen M (Bally) Clark, 95, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Sullivan) Bally, passed away at Newport Hospital on December 13, 2025. Helen grew up in the Fifth Ward and graduated from Saint Catherine Academy Class of 1948. She worked for Raytheon for thirty-three years, retiring as a Senior Budget Analyst.
Helen enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, cooking, crossword puzzles and especially family gatherings.
Helen is survived by her daughter Sharon Sutphin (husband William) and son Thomas Clark (wife Rhonda), grandchildren Thomas Clark (wife Jenn) and Jillian Reposa (husband Michael). She adored her great grandchildren Bowen, Beckham and Blake Reposa and Thomas and Lilly Clark. Helen leaves nieces and nephews Maureen Bally, Peter Bally, Dion Bally (wife Jane), Pamela Bruno (husband Steve), Mark Randall, Erin Ornsteen and grand nephews and nieces Paul Bally, Elizabeth Bally, Heather Bruno, Kevin Bruno, Lily, and Sam Ornsteen.
Helen was predeceased by her brothers Charles, Paul and Fred Bally and her sister Rita Randall.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the John Clarke Nursing Center for their exceptional care and compassion provided to Helen and her family. Helen enjoyed playing bingo and participating in activities at the center.
Per Helen’s request, visiting hours are respectfully omitted. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at on Monday, December 29th at St. Mary’s Church, corner of Spring St & Memorial Blvd, Newport at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery, 465 Browns Ln, Middletown.
