Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week has been named Motoring Event of the Year at the 2025 International Historic Motoring Awards, the organization announced Monday.

The award, presented by Lockton in London, is one of the collector-car world’s most prestigious global honors. Audrain joins previous winners including the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and International St Moritz Automobile Week.

The ceremony took place at the Peninsula London before an audience of international guests. The awards honor excellence across restoration, motorsport, publishing, museums and global automotive events.

“We are deeply honored to receive this distinction from the IHMA,” said Nic Waller, president of Audrain Group. “This award reflects not only the passion of the Audrain organization, but also the extraordinary enthusiasm of our participants, volunteers, partners, and the entire Newport community.”

Television personality Jay Leno, an IHMA judge and longtime Audrain participant, said he always envisioned the event “to be an American version of Goodwood with a little Brooklands thrown in, ‘the right crowd with no crowding,’ and people seem to agree.”

Audrain Newport stood out for both the quality of its concours field and the breadth of its Motor Week programming, which includes curated driving tours, educational seminars, exclusive gatherings, lifestyle events and community experiences staged throughout Newport’s Gilded Age venues.

Nick Schorsch, founder of Audrain Concours & Motor Week, said the event began with a simple belief: “that great cars deserve great settings, and great people make great events.”

“Our vision was simply to bring together passionate collectors and enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate over a century of automotive excellence, all within the incomparable setting of Newport, Rhode Island,” Schorsch said.

The 2026 Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week returns Oct. 1-4, 2026. The signature Concours d’Elegance is held on the lawn of The Breakers. Full program details and tickets will be available at www.audrainconcours.com.

The International Historic Motoring Awards were established in 2011 by Hothouse Media to honor excellence across the global collector-car community.
