NEWPORT, R.I. — Fresh off the heels of another pair of sold-out festivals, the Newport Festivals Foundation announced Tuesday the dates for next year’s marquee events, giving music fans something to look forward to as summer 2025 winds down.

The Newport Folk Festival will return to Fort Adams State Park July 24-26, 2026, while the Newport Jazz Festival is set for July 31-Aug. 2, 2026.

Both festivals wrapped successful runs over the last two weekends, with attendees filling the scenic waterfront venue overlooking Newport Harbor. The announcements come as the festivals continue their tradition of building anticipation early, allowing devoted fans to mark their calendars well in advance.

Following the foundation’s typical timeline, tickets for both festivals typically go on sale early in the new year, with artist lineups following shortly after. The early date announcement allows the organization to begin coordinating with artists and vendors while giving festivalgoers ample time to plan their summer schedules.

The Newport Folk Festival, which dates to 1959, and the Newport Jazz Festival, launched in 1954, remain cornerstones of Newport’s summer cultural calendar.

Music enthusiasts eager for more details on lineups and ticket information can stay updated through the Newport Festivals Foundation’s official channels as announcements develop in the coming months.
