Sakonnet Vineyard will kick off its 50th Anniversary Summer Music Series on Saturday, July 5th, featuring local and regional musical artists performing Saturdays through September 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The concerts will take place at the vineyard located at 162 West Main Road in Little Compton, with performances free and open to the public. The exception is the Little Compton 350th Folk Fest on August 30th, which runs from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and requires separate admission.

Guests can enjoy a variety of music styles while taking advantage of wine tastings in the tasting room, wine and wine cocktails on the lawn, and the vineyard’s new frozen sangria and non-alcoholic frozen lemonade. The café will offer seasonal fare, and lawn games will be available for all ages.

The musical lineup includes folk artist Avi Jacob opening the series on July 5th, followed by Dave Alves performing acoustic covers on July 12th. Singer-songwriter Michelle Saylors takes the stage July 19th, with contemporary folk-rock group Backwards Hats performing July 26th.

August features folk artist Allysen Callery on the 2nd, Stefan Couture with modern acoustic music on the 9th, and Purple Honey performing sweet renditions of classic tunes on the 16th. Frank Foot, described as a one man cover band, performs August 23rd, followed by the special Little Compton 350th Folk Fest on August 30th.

The series concludes in September with Mary McAvoy performing chilled out pop on the 13th and Purple Honey returning on September 27th.

Founded in 1975, Sakonnet Vineyard is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025 as New England’s oldest vineyard and a pioneer of the Southeastern New England AVA. The vineyard sits on 169 scenic acres with more than 20 acres under vine, producing award-winning wines shaped by the region’s coastal climate.

Beyond the music series, Sakonnet’s seasonal calendar includes yoga classes, fitness classes with RAD Fit studios, and celebrations of Little Compton’s 350th anniversary. Select Sakonnet wines are available at restaurants and retailers throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, and South Carolina.
