Celebrate the 4th of July at Fort Adams! (via Fort Adams Trust)

Get ready for a fantastic Independence Day celebration at Fort Adams State Park. The Fort Adams Trust is hosting a free event on July 4, 2025, complete with live music, family fun, and a prime spot to watch Newport’s fireworks.

“The Fort is simply the best place from which to watch Newport’s fireworks,” said Paul Marshall, Fort Adams Trust. “This event brings the community together in a one-of-a-kind setting with history, music, and fun for all ages.”

The festivities kick off at 6 p.m., with The Ravers taking the stage from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Kids and adults alike can enjoy lawn games and bouncy houses throughout the evening.

Feel free to pack a picnic, and don’t forget your blankets and lawn chairs. The fireworks over Newport Harbor are set to light up the sky at 9:15 p.m.

While there’s no cost to attend, space is limited. It’s a good idea to register early through the Fort Adams Trust website.

Looking ahead, the Trust is bringing back its popular Music at the Fort series in August. These free Wednesday evening concerts on the North Lawn feature The Dope Things on Aug. 20, Honky Tonk Knights on Aug. 27, and The Ravers on Sept. 3.

These events wouldn’t be possible without the support of sponsors like Hogan Associates, Behan Bros, Joseph Gnazzo Company Inc., Cordtsen Design Architecture, and BankNewport.
