Newport Classical wraps up its 2024-25 Chamber Series with a performance by GRAMMY-nominated Trio Mediaeval on June 13, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. The concert takes place at the Newport Classical Recital Hall in Newport.
The Norwegian group will showcase Swedish and Norwegian vocal folk music, including traditional songs, hymns, fiddle tunes, ballads, and the unique style of wordless singing known as tulling, sulling, or tralling.
This performance marks the end of Newport Classical’s fourth full-season Chamber Series, which featured 12 concerts at the organization’s home venue.
Since forming in 1997, Trio Mediaeval has performed extensively across Europe, the United States, and Asia, gracing stages at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall in New York and London’s Barbican Centre.
As part of Newport Classical’s Music Education and Engagement Initiative, all Chamber Series musicians also visit local Newport schools to perform for and inspire students.
