The Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center (The JPT) has an exciting lineup of films and events for guests to enjoy this November, including screenings of Repo Man, Beyond the Fantasy, and Luther: Never Too Much.

Repo Man (Thursday, November 14, 7:30 PM)
Celebrating its 40th anniversary! A quintessential cult film of the 1980s, Alex Cox’s singular sci-fi comedy, Repo Man stars the always captivating Harry Dean Stanton as a weathered repo man in a desolate Los Angeles and Emilio Estevez as the nihilistic middle-class punk he takes under his wing. The job becomes more than either of them bargained for when they get involved in repossessing a mysterious —and otherworldly—Chevy Malibu with a hefty reward attached to it. Beyond the Fantasy (Thursday, November 21, 7:30 PM)
Beyond the Fantasy from Teton Gravity Research (TGR) is more than just a film; it’s a testament to the power of turning dreams into reality. Witness skiing and snowboarding athletes as they transform improbable mental images into breathtaking feats of athleticism and creativity. From the world’s most stunning mountain landscapes to the joyous absurdities that make riding on snow a way of life, this film celebrates the unbreakable bond that unites the TGR community.
Before the screening, The JPT guests will have the opportunity to participate in a prize giveaway, with prizes from Atomic, Volkl, K2, YETI, Mammut, GoPro, Nissan, and more. Plus, all attendees will have a chance to win the grand prize for the tour — Flying to Grand Targhee to film a segment with TGR (made possible by TGR partner Nissan). Luther: Never Too Much (November 22 – November 24)
Luther: Never Too Much celebrates the life and work of iconic musical performer Luther Vandross, from childhood talent to worldwide fame. Acclaimed director Dawn Porter handles Luther’s story with care, providing insight into the illustrious singer’s career and personal life. His consummate professionalism, hard work, and diligence are all captured, but so are his frustrations and loneliness. With stunning archival footage that provides intimate access to Luther and interviews with those who knew him best, a complete picture of him is constructed in this jubilant celebration of the one and only Luther.
