The International Yacht Restoration School (IYRS) will host its 19th Annual Career Day on January 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon. This free event, open to IYRS students, alumni, and the public, will be held at Restoration Hall, 449 Thames Street, in Newport.

Employers from the marine trades, design, and modern manufacturing industries will be in attendance to meet with potential candidates.

Attracting over 40 companies from around the country, there will be a wide array of job opportunities available. “IYRS Career Day is a win-win for employers, our students, and the community,” said Jen Iacovelli, IYRS Director of Student Services. “We have 40+ companies with job opportunities from as far as California that come to IYRS to recruit employees.”

Attendees will have the chance to meet with hiring managers, learn about career paths, and discuss open positions. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to interview skilled individuals with experience in Boatbuilding & Restoration, Composites Technology, Digital Modeling & Fabrication, and Marine Systems.

With externship hours built into each program, IYRS students graduate with skills tested in the workplace.

Companies interested in exhibiting can contact Jen Iacovelli at jiacovelli@iyrs.edu or 401.848.5777 x209.
