The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority (RITBA) will be launching a new system for its E-ZPass and bill-by-plate tolling transactions, and during the transition, customer service will be unavailable from Friday, Oct. 25 to Monday, Oct. 28.

During this time, customers will not be able to access their accounts online, by phone, or in person. The RITBA website will be under reconstruction, and AAA will also be unable to process E-ZPass transactions.

RITBA expects the new system to be up and running by Tuesday, Oct. 29. The authority says the new system will have many consumer-friendly features that will improve the customer experience.

Customers with outstanding business with RITBA are encouraged to log in to their account, call, or visit one of their offices before the system transition begins.
