The 33rd Annual Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival is in full swing this weekend on Bowen’s Wharf in Newport. Visitors are flocking to the historic wharf to enjoy the “Harvest of the Sea” under beautiful sunny skies.

Running Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the festival offers a mouthwatering array of fresh, local seafood. Foodies can indulge in fish tacos, lobster rolls, stuffies, chowder, fried calamari, clams, and oysters. To wash it all down, there are signature cocktails and cold beers on tap.

The event isn’t just about food – it’s a feast for the ears too. Live bands are playing throughout the weekend, covering genres from folk and surf rock to Caribbean and blues. As the organizers put it, “These bands will get your feet moving!”

Best of all, admission to the festival is free. You only pay for the food and drinks you want to try. And don’t worry about the weather – the event goes on rain or shine, with tents set up to keep everyone dry if needed.

Saturday’s music lineup featured The Good Living Band from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by Angelus Hall from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday’s schedule includes performances by Randy Robbins, Morgan Treni & The Landscapes, and The Groove Merchants.

So if you’re in the Newport area this weekend, head down to Bowen’s Wharf for some great seafood, cool tunes, and a fun atmosphere. It’s a perfect way to spend an autumn day by the sea.
