Wine lovers, mark your calendars. Greenvale Vineyards is gearing up for its 25th Annual Harvest Festival on Nov. 2, promising a day packed with wine, music, food, and fun.

The celebration starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. at the historic farm on 582 Wapping Road in Portsmouth.

Starting at 1 p.m., visitors can take tractor rides through the vineyards and tour the new winery.

Music is a big part of the day. Portsmouth’s own folk band, Princess June, will play from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by the funky sounds of the Brian James Quartet from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. All the tunes will be in the old stable, a cozy tasting room.

Food-wise, there’s plenty to choose from. Newport Chowder and Aquidneck Oysters, along with treats from local vendors like Mad Good Cookie and Sarcastic Sweets, will be there.

For those wanting to learn more about wine, Jonathon Alsop, author and founder of the Boston Wine School, leads four classes in the new Wine Education Center. Topics range from wine-tasting basics to exploring lesser-known grape varieties.

In a press release, Nancy Parker Wilson from Greenvale Vineyards says, “We’re thrilled to hit this 25-year milestone. It’s a great chance to share our love of winemaking and the vineyard’s rich history with everyone.”
