The Rhode Island Department of Transportation issued the following travel advisories for Newport County from Saturday, September 14, through Friday, September 20.

Newport Pell Bridge Approaches – Phase II

Mobile operations will take place sitewide on the Newport Pell Bridge Approaches with minimal impact on travel to complete outstanding electrical and signage installation tasks.

Overnight

Tiverton: Rte. 77 (Main Rd.), from Bridgeport Rd. to Highland Ave., alternating lane closures for pavement milling, Wed. & Thurs. nights, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.​

Weekday

Middletown: Valley Rd. North, from Johnny Cake Hl. to Aquidneck Ave., right shoulder closed for drainage work, Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.​

Tiverton: Rte. 77 (Main Rd.), from Bridgeport Dr. to Highland Ave., alternating one-way traffic for curb & sidewalk work, Mon. – Fri., 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
