Today, the Rhode Island Department of Transporation (RIDOT) provided the following weekly update on the Pell Bridge Ramps Phase 2 project.

On Sunday night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., we’ll be striping on Admiral Kalbfus Road, JT Connell Highway, America’s Cup Avenue, and the shared use path. Weekdays, with no formal lane closures anticipated, we’ll continue sitewide efforts to finish programming traffic cabinets, replacing two existing lighting cabinets, and performing fiber optic line testing, landscaping, and signage work.

RIDOT also released the following list of travel advisories for Newport County for the week of July 13 – 19.

Newport: Sitewide striping continues on Admiral Kalbfus Rd., JT Connell Hwy., & America’s Cup Ave., Sun. night (July 14), 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Temporary Road Closure

Little Compton: East Main Rd., from Peckham Ave. to Simmons Ave., road closed for paving, Sun. – Thurs. nights, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Overnight

Jamestown: North Rd., from Weeden Ln. to Westwind Dr., alternating lane closures for paving, Wed. night, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.

Weekday

Jamestown: North Rd., from Weeden Ln. to Westwind Dr., alternating lane closures for paving, Mon. – Fri., 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

 Tiverton: Rte. 77 (Main Rd.), from Bridgeport Dr. to Highland Ave., alternating one-way traffic for curb work, Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Rhode Island Turnpike & Bridge Authority has shared the following weekly lane closures for July 14 through July 20.

Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge
Eastbound Right Lane Closure- 7/15 to 7/19- 9 am to 3 pm

Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge
There are currently no lane closures planned for the Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge.

Route 138 Connector
There are currently no lane closures planned for the Route 138 Connector.

Mount Hope Bridge
There are currently no lane closures planned for the Mount Hope Bridge.

Sakonnet River Bridge
There are currently no lane closures planned for the Sakonnet River Bridge.
