A home with direct views of the ocean has sold for $7.125 million, making it the highest sale in Newport County and the second highest in all of Rhode Island so far in 2024.

The 4 bedroom, 5 and a half bath home, named Ocean Mist, sits on nearly a half of an acre at 599 Ocean Avenue. The home also offers deeded rights to a private beach.

“The magnificence of the ocean views from this well-designed property cannot be overstated. The buyer also appreciated the beautifully sculpted landscaping, attention to every detail, and superior construction,” commented Anne Northup Burns, Associate Broker of Lila Delman Compass’ Newport office, which represented the seller in the transaction.

“Newport, with its many leisure and social offerings, continues to attract financiers, yachting enthusiasts, and more recently serious car collectors, making a positive impact on the luxury market here.”
