Marion E. “Mim” (Burke) Gallipeau, 92, of Middletown, RI died June 11, 2024. Mim was born in Newton, MA, on March 25, 1932, to Dr. Edmund B. Burke and Harriett E. (Brydon) Burke of Newtonville, MA and later Orleans, MA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LCDR Richard W. Gallipeau, USN, Retired; her parents; her brother, Edmund B. Burke Jr.; and nieces Barbara and Elin Roos.
Mim is survived by four children, Richard W. Gallipeau Jr. (Sharon), Peter Gallipeau (Kathleen Connell), and Jacquelyn Gallipeau of Middletown, RI and James Gallipeau of Newport, RI; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mim is also survived by nephews Robert Craig Roos (Sally) of Raritan, NJ and William Roos (Karen) of Mountain Lakes, NJ; niece Carol Graber (Raymond) of Middletown, DE; eight grandnieces and grandnephews; and eleven great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
A private burial will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
