Sail Newport will host an event celebrating 40 years of the Newport Regatta on Saturday, July 13, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The sailing event has been held since 1984 and gathers visitors from an average of 16 states and three countries.
“This is a premier East Coast event every year,” says Brad Read, executive director. “The anniversary party will celebrate this milestone for our public sailing center which works to recruit sailing events to Newport and foster the sport of sailing.”
The evening will include a summer BBQ, cocktails, dancing, and live music by Los Duderinos, a popular local band known for their energetic performances and diverse repertoire. Sail Newport is located at 72 Fort Adams Drive, Newport, RI. Parking is free at Fort Adams.
