Grey Sail Brewing of Rhode Island has announced the launch of a special collaboration beer, Work Vessel Double IPA, crafted in partnership with New England Brewing Company (NEBCO).

“This unique Double IPA is a testament to our shared commitment to quality brewing and the community,” Grey Sail Brewing says in a press release.

Grey Sail Brewing shares that Work Vessel Double IPA is a clean-tasting brew that boasts tropical flavors, thanks to a blend of hops from America and the southern hemisphere. The beer is perfectly balanced with a west-coast leaning malt profile, ensuring a smooth sip every time. With an ABV of 8.0%, this beer is both bold and refreshing.

Hops Profile:

  • Nectaron: Delivers a burst of tropical fruit notes.
  • Amarillo: Adds a rich, citrusy aroma.
  • Simcoe: Rounds out the profile with earthy and piney accents.

Available on draft and in cans, Work Vessel Double IPA is more than just a beer; it’s a cause. Proceeds from the sales will directly benefit Work Vessels for Veterans. This non-profit organization equips America’s returning veterans with the tools they need to start a business or pursue career education.

“Work Vessel Double IPA, brewed in collaboration with New England Brewing Company, is more than just a beer—it’s a salute to our veterans, providing them with the tools they need to forge new paths in civilian life,” said Alan Brinton, co-founder, and owner of Grey Sail Brewing in a statement. “Our service men and women have dedicated their lives to our country, some of whom are continuing to work through physical and mental health issues. Supporting them through Work Vessels for Veterans is an honor.”

“We had a great time teaming up with Grey Sail to make this beer while reminiscing about the two head canning line we both started on and when you add a special cause – it’s even better,” said Rob Leonard, owner of New England Brewing Company in a statement. “It is so important to thank our veterans for their service and we’re delighted to take it a step further and support Work Vessels for Veterans.”

Grey Sail Brewing invites the public to its Block Party on Saturday, June 8th, to celebrate the official release of Work Vessel Double IPA. In the following weeks, the beer will be available throughout Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
