Aquidneck Community Table (ACT), a leading voice and actor in Newport County on local food promotion and access, will host its annual Summer Bounty Bash on Tuesday, June 18, from 6 pm to 9 pm at Stoneacre Garden.

The event celebrates Aquidneck Island’s unique foodie culture and includes complimentary tastings from local makers and growers and live entertainment by area musicians.

Proceeds from the event will support ACT’s work to promote food equity and to enhance its community programming and beloved farmers markets. The organization operates popular markets in Newport and Middletown and manages a network of community and school gardens and educational programs. ACT is also intimately involved in broader, statewide efforts to strengthen Rhode Island’s food system and to promote the local food economy.

Among the event’s highlighted makers are Aquidneck Island Oyster Co., Bellevue Boards, Betta Bakes, Caribe & Co., Grafik Coffee, Kristi’s Kraftails, Lovewell Farms, Newport Vineyards & Taproot Brewing Co., Newport Wine Cellar & Gourmet, Rejects Beer Co., Rhode Island Spirits, Simply Chickie, and The Quencher Newport.

The Summer Bounty Bash is made possible by generous partners, including 2Hands Studio, A-1 Roofing, Advanced Remarketing Services, Behan Bros., Discover Newport, Newport Hospital, Salve Regina University, Sole Desire, Stoneacre Hospitality, and The Brenton Hotel.
