East Beach State Campground will open on Saturday, May 25. The campgrounds are offering a pre-check-in process for campers can speed up the process and get to their site faster. When campers book their reservation through Reserve America, they will receive an email to pre-register before their trip. The pre-registration is required and must be done no later than two days before the intended arrival date. Campers needing a second car pass can purchase one up to one day in advance.

This is the first year pre-checking in will be offered at all four campgrounds. The service is previously only available at Burlingame and George Washington campgrounds. The DEM hopes the change will improve camper experience and make it possible for campers to arrive at their site faster.
