The David Tessier All-Star Stars kicked off the 2024 season of the Barn Concerts at Ragged Island Brewing in Portsmouth on Saturday night, February 17. A warm crowd greeting Tessier and his band on a chilly evening at the Aquidneck Island brewery, which hosts year-round barn sessions featuring locally and nationally touring musicians.
Tessier’s band brings the total package to 70s and 80s classics and deep cuts – the top-notch band is not afraid to take on challenging arrangements, as the set list shows. Featuring originals and songs from Abba, Fleetwood Mac, and Beach Boys, Tessier moves effortlessly between rock genres throughout the show. The crowd was singing along to numerous favorites, including “Good Vibrations,” “25 or 6 to 4 (Chicago),” and Blondie’s “Heart of Glass.”
