Bowen's Wharf will host their annual Christmas Tree Lighting

Newport, RI – The first weekend of December is here and there are more than a handful of events and activities taking place outdoors over the next few days.

Here’s what’s in store for weather in our area.

Friday Night –  Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 33. North wind around 6 mph.
Saturday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming light and variable.
Saturday Night – Rain, mainly after 11 pm. Low around 39. East wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Sunday – Rain, mainly before 2 pm. High near 54. Southeast wind 11 to 14 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Sunday Night – A chance of showers, mainly before 9 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
