The Rogers High School Robotics Teams are heading to the National Competition for the fourth year in a row. After winning at the regional level, the teams will make the trip to UMASS Dartmouth in May for the National SeaPerch Challenge. The Rogers teams compete at two levels, the high school division and the more advanced open division.

The Rogers High School Robotics teams are holding a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at Sardella’s Restaurant on Sunday, May 6th, 2018, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. to help fund their trip to the SeaPerch National Competition. Tickets are available in advance from the team members, or by calling the school department’s administration office at 401-619-5384.

Tickets will also be available at the door, however, the restaurant requests that you call in reservations for the Robotics Spaghetti Dinner in advance, 849-6312.

Belmore currently serves as Vice President of the Board Of Directors for Fort Adams Trust and on the Board of Directors for Potter League For Animals. He previously served on the Board of Lucy's Hearth and the Arts & Cultural Alliance for Newport County.

Belmore visits Newport every couple of weeks to support the 12+ paid contributors What'sUpNewp has on the ground across Rhode Island, a place he called home for 39 years.

Belmore is a member of Local Independent Online News (LION) Publishers, Society of Professional Journalists, and the North American Snowsports Journalists Association.

In 2020, Belmore was named Member of the Year by LION and won the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County's Dominque Award.
