UPDATE: December 29th, 2016 – Tallulah On Thames Sets The Record Straight Regarding Current and Future Projects
As we said yesterday when we updated you on all that was moving and shaking on the dining scene, with the changes in seasons comes many changes on the restaurant scene.
Jake Rojas, Owner & Chef of Tallulah on Thames, announced earlier today that after 6 years, his restaurant has closed for the foreseeable future. It is unknown what the future holds for 464 Thames Street.
In a personal Facebook message, Rojas shared a picture of himself and his team outside the restaurant and shared the following;
#tbt to a few weeks ago when we decided to close for an early and much needed brake from Newport! Many thanks to all the talented and caring faces that have graced our little gem in the city by the sea! Keep you ear to the ground on our next venture! #tallulahonthames Toodaloo TALLULAH.
Rojas and his team also own and operate the Tallulah’s Taco Cart that finds itself at all of your favorite farmers’ markets and events, as well as Tallulah’s Taqueira in Providence.
According to recent property records, Tallulah on Thames leased the space they occupied and 464-466 Thames Street was sold on August 2nd, 2016 for $620,000.
For those wondering, Tallulah on Thames operates with a Class BL – Class B Limited (Beer and Wine) Liquor License.
