Every year without fail, the rush for Oktoberfest and Pumpkin beers come fast in August. Here at The Wharf Pub we like to have a variety of different pumpkin beers. A lot of people ask, why so early? Could be how the beer is made, barrel aged or type of ingredients a brewery uses which in that case have to pump out the beers fast to enjoy its freshness.

Here are the top five that we welcome to the Wharf Pub over the next couple weeks, and some returning favorites. Look for them at your favorite liquor store, or come on down to the Pub and enjoy a few.
1 – Southern Tier Warlock (NY) ABV: 10.0%

Brewed with Pumpkins, Vanilla, Chocolate and Coffee this imperial stout is nice and smooth on the end. A Pub favorite!

2- Harpoon Flannel Friday (BOSTON) ABV: 5.7%

Hoppy amber ale to get you in the mood for fall. With a strong malt backbone and caramel notes this beer has a crisp finish.

3 – Grey Sail Autumn Winds (RI) ABV: 5.8%

Got to enjoy Hazy Day? Now try Grey Sail’s Oktoberfest style ale brewed with german malts and bready aroma.

4 – Ballast Point Pumpkin Down (SAN DIEGO) ABV: 5.8%

Scottish ale brewed with pumpkin with caramel and toffee notes. Recipe taken from they’re beer Piper down, adding pumpkins has made it even more delicious.

5 – Two Roads Ok2berfest (CT) ABV: 5.8%

A Marzeen style lager with a toasty malt profile and German hops.
