The Newport Police Department announced on their Official Facebook Page on Monday that they are seeking the publics help in locating Dandre L. Russ, a suspect believed to have been involved in a Felony Assault that occurred on June 13, 2016.

The Newport Police Department has been investigating a stabbing that occurred on that day, where an altercation occurred in the area of Farewell Street and Broadway at approximately 0125 hrs.

A 24 year old male resident of Portsmouth, Rhode Island suffered several stab wounds and was transferred to Newport Hospital and later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital where, at that time, he was being treated and in stable condition.
