The Middletown Prevention Coalition is hosting Middletown Wellness Month throughout March. This month is dedicated to getting people motivated to take steps to improve their overall health and well-being. The coalition is hosting a variety of activities and events to help individuals, families, and the community reach their health goals.

Some of the highlights of the month include Zumba for Health workshops, healthy cooking classes, Narcan trainings, yoga classes, and “Super Stress Busters” assemblies. These activities are designed to introduce and motivate participants to incorporate these practices into their daily lives to enhance their health and well-being. The workshops will also include information on nutrition, exercise, and other wellness factors.

The Middletown Wellness Month initiative is made possible through collaboration with numerous community organizations such as the YMCA, Norman Bird Sanctuary, YANA, Middletown Senior Center, Middletown Public Schools, Hope Recovery Center, Common Fence Point Community Center’s Zumba Program, and many more. This month-long celebration of wellness is a great way for individuals, families, and the community to come together and take positive steps towards improving their overall health and well-being.

The culmination of the month of wellness activities is the Middletown Wellness Month Community Dodgeball Tournament on April 5. This fun, family-friendly competition will be a great way to end the month of wellness. The tournament is open to students, teachers, staff, and neighbors from across Middletown. The two divisions of the tournament are Middle School (3 pm) and MHS/Adults (5 pm).
