Salve Regina Alumni & Families Virtual Yoga Class

November 18 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Join Salve Regina alumni Malissa Brennan ’06 for a celebration of breath, body, and movement!

This slow, vinyasa flow class synchronizes yoga asana (postures) with breath to both soothe tired bodies and ease troubled minds. This mat-based class is accessible for all levels and will highlight seated and standing postures, breathwork, and light meditation. To optimize your experience, please wear comfortable clothing and bring:

  • A Yoga or fitness mat
  • Beach towel, blanket, or pillow
  • Optional: Yoga blocks (although kettlebells, a stack of books, foam rollers, and/or toilet paper rolls make good substitutes!)

This 60-minute class will be held on November 18th at 8:00pm ET via Zoom. Partners, kiddos, roommates, and four-legged friends are all welcome to attend. To join, please register here and the zoom link will be sent within your confirmation email.

A 2006 graduate of Salve Regina University, Malissa has been teaching yoga since 2010. Trained in the Krishnamacharya lineage by Suzanne Leitner-Wise, Bev Brown, and Stair Calhoun, Malissa is inspired by the quiet elegance of vinyasa flow and the precise alignment of Iyengar. By integrating intelligent sequencing, functional movement, and energetic lines, Malissa’s classes blur the seam between power and grace. Featuring fluid sequencing and functional movement, Malissa’s yoga classes are highly adaptive to all ages, levels, and physical abilities.

In addition to her role as a consultant with Koya Leadership Partners, a leading executive search firm dedicated to placing exceptionally talented leadership at mission-driven organizations and institutions of higher education, Malissa teaches public and private classes and workshops throughout the Greater Boston area. Specializing in power, vinyasa, restorative, and chair yoga, Malissa is also an advocate for reform within the yoga and wellness industry and firmly believes that yoga should be accessible and available for all.

She currently teaches at Wonder Yoga (Arlington, MA), Majestic Yoga (Cambridge, MA), and The Corner Studio Yoga (Medford, MA).
