Welcome to Museum Reads, the Newport Art Museum’s Art-Themed book group for adults. We meet monthly, at the Museum and virtually, for discussion, and frequently are joined by the author.
Encounter one of history’s greatest civilizations through miniatures. In Persian Miniatures, the story of the magnificent Persian Empire is told by way of an artistic tradition on a small but vibrant scale. The colorful images, which are, in fact, elaborate book illustrations, introduce us to a curious world of adventures, heroes and sovereigns.
