Bach: St. John Passion – RI Civic Chorale
March 18 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The RI Civic Chorale joins with the Providence Baroque Orchestra to present St. John Passion by J.S. Bach. This is a large scale dramatic masterpiece, which is every bit as dramatic as an opera and infused with raw emotion. It is a moving work of art that invites us all to be reflective and hopeful, no matter one’s belief or background. Please join Music Director, Joshua W. Rohde, thirty minutes prior to the performance for a pre-concert lecture to unravel this complicated work and gain insights into the music.
