Adult Summer Library Experience

Imagine all of the things you can enjoy this summer, both inside and outside the library! Patrons ages 18 and older can participate in our Adult Summer Library Experience by reviewing any library materials, museum passes, events, or activities. Each review counts as an entry into a raffle for gift certificates to local Tiverton establishments. Virtual Presentation: Bike & Pedestrian Safety

It’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy a walk or a bike ride! Be sure to do it safely! This virtual presentation for all ages stresses the importance of wearing a helmet, staying visible, using hand signals, safe places to ride and walk, and teaches the laws and rules of the road. Virtual Cookbook Club

Summer is in full swing. This month, we will enjoy a summer barbecue with recipes from Boy Gets Grill by Bobby Flay. Please call the library at 401-625-6796 to reserve your copy of the book for contactless pick-up. If you prefer, you may prepare a dish from a cookbook that you own or from our eZone, from a magazine you have at home or from Flipster, or just a family favorite. Virtual Program: Feasting from Your Pantry

Whether you are a seasoned cook or a complete novice, creating a meal from what you’ve got on hand is always a challenge. We’ve all stocked our pantries as best we could, and we are now trying to figure out how to pull it all together to make easy, healthy, and delicious meals. Join Chef Liz Barbour for this fun and tasty class. Liz will share her pantry basics and inspire you to be creative with what you’ve got. Following her discussion, Liz will demonstrate two pantry recipes anyone can cook at home. Virtual Harry Potter Celebration

July 31st is Harry Potter’s Birthday! While we can’t celebrate in person at the Library this year, we will be hosting a special Harry Potter-themed Puzzle Room for all ages on our website. Break open a bag of chocolate frogs, pour yourself a butterbeer, and visit tivertonlibrary.org any time between July 31st and August 7th for an adventure through Diagon Alley. Bet your back-to-school shopping has never been this fun!
