With the likelihood of inclement weather over the weekend, the City of Newport has announced that Newport Recreation has decided to postpone its annual Men’s and Women’s Singles Open until Saturday, Sept. 14th.

Both contests, which are part of the City’s annual lineup of adult fall tennis tournaments, had been scheduled to kick off on Saturday, Sept. 7th

However, with rain and wind forecast for Saturday morning, play will instead get underway at 10 a.m. at the Pop Flack Tennis Courts in Aquidneck Park on Saturday, Sept. 14th
