Planet Fitness Middletown has opened its doors to a group of AmeriCorps volunteers working in the area this spring.

Six volunteers from around the country, ages 20-23, are in the Newport area working with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County this spring. The volunteers are assisting with the Boys & Girls Clubs’ programs and its outdoor camp throughout the next few months.

Planet Fitness Franchisee Steve Eddleston gladly provided three-month memberships to each of the volunteers so that they can make use of the Middletown facility while they are working in the area.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America is the nonprofit partner of Planet Fitness, and Franchisee Steve Eddleston says that he is proud to support BGCA sites in the communities of all of Planet Fitness locations in Rhode Island and Southeastern Mass.
