1. Newport Jazz Festival | Friday – Sunday | Fort Adams

The 61st Newport Jazz Festival at Fort Adams State Park will feature Jon Batiste and Stay Human, Jamie Cullum, Cassandra Wilson, Dr. John, Arturo Sandoval, Jack DeJohnette’s Made in Chicago, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Ms. Lisa Fischer & Grand Baton and many others. See The Full Schedule

2. Friday’s At 6 | Friday from 6pm – 8pm | Newport Storm

How many breweries can say that every week, you can go in, trade your ID for a pint glass, and drink unlimited amounts of craft beers? Well, we know of only one on the island, so that means we don’t have to go far to get it, Newporter’s. You gotta sign up at 12pm on Friday on Newport Storm’s Facebook Page, because only the 1st 50 to sign-up get in! 6pm – 8pm.

3. Live Improv Comedy | Friday & Saturday at 8pm | Firehouse Theater

RI’s most award-winning comedy troupe hits the stage with fast paced, high energy improvisation. The shows are a lot like “Whose Line is it Anyway” with hilarious scenes, hysterical musical numbers & larger than life characters all inspired by audience suggestions. Got a group event? 4. Wasted Talent Show | Friday at 8pm | HOPE

July’s Wasted Talent Show will feature Ray Harrington, Matt Donaher, James Dorsey, Nick Chambers and Dennis Hoffer at Hope. $15 & 21+.

5. Helly Hansen Warehouse Sale | Friday  – Sunday | Newport Yachting Center

Helly Hansen will host their final warehouse sale ever at the Newport Yachting Center Friday through Sunday from 9am to midnight. More info

6. St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church’s Hellenic Fest | Friday – Sunday

The 2015 Hellenic Fest will take place on the corner of Brewer and Thames Street this weekend and will offer great food and pastries and live music and dancing. Free

7. Polo: Newport vs Palm Beach | Saturday

Newport will face off against Palm Beach at 5pm in the Newport International Polo Series. Spread a picnic on the lawn or reserve your seat in the Alex and Ani Pavilion for an afternoon of action packed polo. More info

8. 41 North Culinary Master Series | Saturday

Katie Cavuto returns to Forty 1 North for the third year in a row, following the success of prior sold out engagements. The evening includes a lively dinner with wine pairings and interaction with the chef. $110 per person. Reservation required. Kate is a chef and dietician who inspires people to live healthy lives. She was a finalist on the Next Food Network Star and is the dietician for the Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers. More Info
