It’s beginning to look a whole lot more like the off-season around Newport, RI. Many restaurants have already permanently/temporarily closed or are preparing to do so over the next few weeks.
As of December 31st; we are sure there are a few more updates to come…
- @ The Deck – Closed until Spring.
- Atlantic Beach Club – Will close permanently on January 1, 2016
- Barking Crab – Waiting on confirmation of dates (were closed January 4th – February 5th in 2015)
- Belle’s Cafe – Closing on December 18th until mid March
- Benjamin’s – Closed January 4th for about two weeks for Winter Break.
- Black Pearl – Seasonally closed Jan. 3 to Feb 12.
- Bouchards – Will be closed from January 1st – January 28th for winter break.
- Cafe Zelda – Closed, will reopen in February under new ownership.
- Caleb & Broad – Closing down Tues Jan 26th and will re-open Friday Feb 5th.
- Canfield House – Closed permanently.
- Christie’s – Closed, unknown when/if they will reopen.
- Clarke Cooke House – Summer Sushi ends on September 27th
- Dockside – Closed until Spring.
- Flo’s in Middletown – Closed until Spring.
- Fluke – Closed 1/3 – 2/11
- Gas Lamp Grille – Will close around 5pm on Sun. Jan. 3rd and reopen Fri. Jan. 8th at 5pm.
- Jade Cricket – Waiting on confirmation of dates (were closed January 5th – May 1st in 2015)
- Landing Restaurant- Closed until Spring.
- Lobster Bar – Closed until Spring.
- Marina Cafe & Pub – Closed until Spring.
- Midtown Oyster Bar – Will be closed Monday Jan. 4 through Wednesday Jan. 6. We will re-open at 4:00pm on Thursday Jan. 7th.
- Perry Mill Tavern – Closed, will reopen in Spring 2016 under new ownership and name.
- Port Restaurant – Closed until Spring.
- Red Parrot – Will be closed from January 4th – January 14th for winter renovations.
- Revolving Door – Will be closed from January 1st – January 28th for winter break.
- Rhumbline – Closed, will reopen in Spring 2016 under new ownership.
- Scales & Shells – Will close on December 12th for approximately one month.
- Smokehouse – Closed until Spring.
- Tallulah on Thames – Closed January 4th – second week of February for winter break.
- Teas & Javas – Temporarily closed until further notice.
- Thames Street Burger Boys – Closed until further notice.
- Thames Street Kitchen – Will close permanently on January 1st.
- Yesterday and The Place – Closed permanently.
You can also count on the Lawn at Castle Hill, all patio’s (Black Pearl, 22 Portside, Pineapples By The Bay) and roof decks’s (Hotel Viking & Vanderbilt Grace) being closed until Spring 2016.
