Five Residents of Newport County Will Compete for Miss RI

Five contestants from the Newport area will take to the stage to compete for the title of Miss Rhode Island America or Miss Rhode Island’s Outstanding Teen this month!

Nicolette Peloquin (Newport), Elena De La Rosa (Newport) and Molly Andrade (Middletown) will compete for the title of Miss Rhode Island. Brennan Cluff (Middletown) and Carrigan Nelson (Portsmouth) will compete for the title of Miss Rhode Island’s Outstanding Teen.

The Miss Rhode Island Scholarship Organization will be crowning its new Miss Rhode Island and Miss Rhode Island’s Outstanding Teen in picturesque Newport! The preliminary competition for Miss Rhode Island will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 27. Finals will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 28.

Miss Rhode Island’s Outstanding Teen will be crowned during a separate competition on Sunday, May 28 at Noon.

All of the pageants will take place at the historic Casino Theater, which is located right next to the International Tennis Hall of Fame at 9 Freebody Street, Newport, RI. The after-party will be held at La Forge Restaurant located at 186 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI.

The Miss Rhode Island program is an official preliminary competition of the Miss America Scholarship Organization, which provides millions of dollars in scholarships to young women every year!

Winners of the Miss Rhode Island and Miss Rhode Island’s Outstanding Teen pageants will go on to compete for national titles at Miss America and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen!
