The Great Houses of Marjorie Merriweather Post
Kate Markert, Executive Director, Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens
Marjorie Merriweather Post lived a Gilded Age lifestyle well into the 20th century, traveling between her Washington D.C. estate Hillwood, Camp Topridge, her summer retreat in the Adirondacks, and Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach property she built. She inherited her father’s company, Post Cereal, in 1914 when she was 27 years old. Learn more about this fascinating, independent woman, take a virtual tour through Hillwood, and get a peek into her unparalleled collection of historic and 20th century jewelry.
