Earth Day Clean Up at Newport’s Ballard Park

Friends of Ballard Park is celebrating Earth Day with a clean-up of Newport’s Only Nature Preserve. At 9 am volunteers are invited to give Ballard Park a spring cleaning. Volunteers will pick up litter, paint gates and signs and trim trails.

For those who have community service requirements, the clean-up may be used for service hours. Volunteers should bring any forms they need signed to the clean-up. If you would like to volunteer please email education@ballardpark.org. Those interested in volunteering should meet at the Hazard Road entrance at 9am.

In the event of inclement weather, the Earth Day Celebration will be held on Sunday, April 23rd at 9am.

Ballard Park is located on the corner of Hazard and Wickham Roads. Event goers should meet at the Hazard Road entrance. For GPS: use 21 Hazard Road, Newport.
