Cox Communications will celebrate the grand opening of a new Cox Solutions Store in the Middletown Plaza at 868 West Main Road in Middletown, with a special appearance by Grammy nominee and Rhode Island native Billy Gilman.
This newest Solutions Store location will provide Aquidneck Island customers with a wide range of services, from bill payment to technical support to live demonstrations of exciting new products and solutions.
From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, visitors to the new Middletown store will have the chance to meet Gilman, a finalist on NBC’s The Voice. Attendees can also enter a drawing for prizes including tickets to Billy’s “Home for the Holidays” concert, taking place at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on December 8, as well as a JBL Studio Soundbar, a Polk Magnify Mini Home Theater Sound System, and more.
The new West Main Road store replaces Cox’s former Aquidneck Island location: a service counter at 77 East Main Road. The new Solutions Store will offer the full Cox retail experience. The modern and open floor plan allows Solutions Specialists to handle billing questions, solve technical issues, accept payments, issue equipment and demonstrate complementary products and accessories such as home theater soundbars, Bluetooth speakers and headphones, and cordless phone systems from leading brands like Polk Audio, JBL, Harman Kardon and VTech.
With a wide range of exciting new voice, video, security, and high-speed Internet solutions, including G1GABLAST gig-speed internet and Homelife Home Security and Smart Home Automation, Aquidneck Island customers can count on being able to see, touch, and experience all the products available to make their homes smarter and more connected than ever before.

Although Cox allows customers to pay their bills via U.S. mail, phone, the web, or directly from bank accounts, many choose to conduct these transactions in person at Cox retail locations. Upon opening, bill payments and all other transactions will take place at the new Cox Solutions Store on West Main Road in the former RadioShack location.
